Rolex: The Ultimate Wrist Candy

Screen Shot 2016-06-10 at 1.06.08 PMWe all know that a Rolex is one of the best of the best in regards to watches. Some call it a luxury, others a necessity. Either way, if you have style and are able to afford a nice watch, a Rolex is without a doubt the way to go. In 2016, Rolex came out with a few updated watches that I will cover throughout this writing.

Oyster Perpetual Explorer

The first one I want to take a look at is the Oyster Perpetual Explorer. Talk about a on your wrist! The display on this watch is absolutely stunning. It has the characteristic 3, 6, 9 numerals but is filled with luminescent material for a majestic glow. Not only does it pass the look test, but it is also waterproof up to 330 feet. That is some serious functionality. The band on the watch is also incredibly robust. It is easily adaptable in length to make for comfort in any scenario and also has an accidental opening mechanism within the band.

Yacht Master

The Yacht Master is another excellent watch by passing both the look and efficiency test. It is an emblematic watch with a chocolate dial consisting of steel and gold. It is equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. The Parachrom hairspring feature provides fine stability in the case of temperature variations and remains times more accurate than a traditional hairspring in the case of shocks. Not to mention it has a power reserve of around 48 hours.

Cellini

Next up is the Cellini. The Cellini has three different models: Cellini Time, Cellini Date Cellini Dual Time. The Time version makes it clear that the here and now is of utmost importance with the only display being that of the present time. The Date version has a little bit different display in that it has another dial imbedded on the face of the watch showing the days gone by and days to come. The Dual Time has a display of time here and time elsewhere. All three options offer a similar make up of 18ct gold and a polished finish.

Air King

Last, but not least, the Air-King. This watch ties itself to the aviation world in the golden age. Back when the introduction to long distance flights began and flight records were being set. The band is fitted on solid link steel with a folding Oysterclasp and the crystal is made of virtually scratch proof sapphire. With the dial bearing the name “Air-King” as in the original design, this watch knocks it out of the park in the style category.

There you have it, a few new watch options that Rolex has come out with in 2016. Regardless of your style and taste, these watches appeal to just about anyone.
